Finally the Republican and Democratic conventions are over. That means the race to November is now on it’s home stretch. Debate prep is beginning for the first Presidential debate scheduled on Wednesday, October 3rd. The debates are going to have a major impact this year as the electorate still seems widely split down the middle. I can’t wait for them!
Out today the August jobs report shows a quite dismal job gain for the month of August. 96,000 jobs are reported to have been added, which is quite frankly awful, especially considering the estimates of 200k+. With that said, the unemployment rate dropped to 8.1%. That is a bit of silver lining. If it drops another 0.2%, Obama can say unemployment isn’t any worse than when he took office. He has two more shots at it!
