One of the great things about being the party in charge of the House of Representatives or the Senate is that you get to set the schedule. Once Republicans took over the House in 2010, they have held shorter and shorter legislative sessions than previous congresses. Want an example? This week marks the first of two five day work weeks the House of Representatives will have this year!
Imagine that! Imagine if you only had to work a maximum of four days a week for all but two weeks out of the year! Man that would be nice! John Boehner and the Republicans in charge of the House made that a reality for themselves. I wish I could do the same!
