New Stuff At The Political Zealot

I’ve been going through and cleaning up the site some. There was a lot of junk that needed to be taken out and hopefully make the site look and load smoother. I eliminated the Google+ stuff because frankly, I don’t use it nor do I know many people that do.

When it comes to social networks facebook is king (other than PolicyMic)! With that said, I have added more facebook functionality. Each page has an easy to click Like and Share button on the top and the bottom, which shows you how many Likes each page already has.

Speaking of Likes, I wanted to shout out to the New Oxford High School Marching Band for making my article about their show, which received a lot of bad press, the most Liked article by far at The Political Zealot. I have shared the article with my former band director, drum line instructor, and some former band members who are still very much into music, hoping they will spread the message that the press New Oxford High School got was completely off. Hopefully the story has died down enough that you guys can get back to what you do best and put on a great show!

Finally, I have switched the commenting system over from the embedded WordPress commenting system to the facebook embedded system. This has a lot of advantages in that people will be able to comment much easier because many are always logged in to facebook while browsing the web. Hopefully the new system will bring more comments! The one downside to switching to this system is that previous comments are no longer visible.

I hope to have a big announcement next week about something I’ve been working on for The Political Zealot for a long time. I have a lot of work to do this weekend, but if I am successful, expect big news next week!

About The Political Zealot

The Political Zealot is designed to bring independent analysis of politics from a Millennial's point of view. Being a Millennial, I am much more inclined to work together and come to a compromise than most of the Baby Boomers that are in Congress today. Because of this, The Political Zealot will strive to find ways to bridge the gaps of both sides of the political aisle and bring solutions to the table.
